The Elkhart County Parks manages large area county parks along with trails, & a historical museum.
The mission of the Elkhart County Parks is to enhance the quality of life, preserve the County's cultural, historical, and natural resources; and provide educational and recreational opportunities. The Elkhart County Parks manages Bonneyville Mill, River Preserve, Cobus Creek, Treasure Island, and Ox Bow County Parks as well as 7 miles of the Pumpkinvine Trail. Some of the feature sites within the park department include Bonneyville Mill, DeFries Gardens, and the Elkhart County Historical Museum.
